Abstract:As the world's aging population increase, the incidence of dementia increases gradually. As the most common type of dementia, Alzheimer disease and its super early stage-mild cognitive impairment become an international research hotspot in recent years. Early, timely and accurately diagnosis has very important significance to slow disease progression and improve quality of life and prognosis. In this article, we reviewed the role of various imaging modalities, such as positron emission tomography (PET), single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), xenon-enhanced computed tomography (Xe-CT), computed tomography perfusion imaging (CTPI), dynamic susceptibility contrast enhanced perfusion weighted imaging (DSC-PWI), arterial spin labeling perfusion imaging (ASL-PI), and intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) in the early clinical diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitive impairment.
